Big News: We Earned Our Propeller Polishing Certificate!
Last month, our team reached a new milestone we’re genuinely proud of — we officially earned our Propeller Polishing Certificate. This certification isn’t just a badge. It shows that we’re fully aligned with the latest environmental standards, and that we stay committed to helping vessels operate cleaner, smoother, and more efficiently. Why Propeller Polishing Really Matters Lower fuel consumption Reduced emissions Improved speed and performance Less vibration Immediate s

Expanding our Certification Portfolio with RINA Approval
We are pleased to share that our team has successfully obtained RINA certification, further strengthening our capabilities and the range of classification societies we can support. Although this milestone was achieved some time ago, it remains an important step in our ongoing commitment to quality, safety, and professional underwater services. With the addition of RINA, our divers are now certified to carry out inspections, presale surveys, blanking operations, and various u

Emergency Repair at Port of Antwerp
Our team was recently asked to assist with a planned blanking operation on an overboard valve (OB valve) of a gas tanker in the Port of Antwerp. The job began as a routine intervention to support the scheduled replacement of the valve. During the operation, our team noticed unexpected damage to the connected pipeline. What started as a standard blanking task, quickly turned into a situation that required an immediate temporary repair to ensure the vessel’s safety. Thanks t

Checking Wall Thickness on Underwater Structures
When it comes to underwater structures like sheet piles, quay walls, pipelines, foundation piles or steel elements used in construction, it’s often hard to judge their real condition just by looking at them. Corrosion, wear and loss of material usually happen below the waterline, where you don’t see it until the damage becomes serious. A wall thickness measurement gives a clear and objective idea of how strong the structure still is. By checking the remaining steel thickness

Dewatering of the Nieuwpoort Lock in Veurne Completed Successfully
Last week, Argo Diving Services was asked to assist with the dewatering of the Nieuwpoort lock in Veurne. Our diving team supported the operation by guiding the steel stoplogs into the correct recesses and checking that they were properly seated. Once in place, we inspected the remaining seepage points and helped ensure that the structure was sufficiently sealed. With the leaks addressed, the contractor was able to proceed with the dewatering process as planned. By the end

ARGO DVING UNRAVELS THE KNOT!
During a recent operation in Ostend, we encountered a situation where a rope had become entangled in the propeller of a fishing boat.
The rope was not only wrapped around the propeller but had also gotten stuck underneath the rope guard.
To resolve this and guaranty a safe sailing, we had to remove the rope guard first, remove the rest of the rope and then weld the rope guard back into its place. Our skilled team handled the task with precision, ensuring the boat was back in working order swiftly and safely.
